- Success Stories
I’m thankful that Dr.Sia gave me a launch pad for my idea during my university days which allowed me to create a major breakthrough in my career and business.
Success often begins with failure. That, I’ve learnt from AskDrSia who has encouraged me to perceive success as a journey and not a destination. Through her wise words and advice, I’ve learnt that the experience is a journey in itself. Indeed, Dr Sia is a remarkable person with a huge impact on anyone she comes in contact with!
Dr Sia is exceptional when it comes to empowering minds! She has the ability to propel greatness in people!
Some say it’s character, some say charisma. When it comes to Dr. Sia I say it’s both. Dr. Sia became my mentor naturally from the moment I met her until today, through life and multiple career milestones. She has been one of the rare consistencies in my dynamic and ever changing environment. Her consistently always being able to radiate positive energies to people around her and always able to provide a safe space to explore thoughts on work, leadership and life. I’ve had the luxury of working with her for a brief moment and have seen her developing students and that impact she created has rippled through these individuals to the younger generation they now try to inspire themselves. It’s simply remarkable. Whenever I’m asked why do I spend time trying to reach out to people who seem lost at times, my humble response is “because I had a mentor”.
Dr. Sia gave me the opportunity to have a proper education and my first encounter was an interview for a scholarship. That is the beginning of my journey, and post that, I am inspired by her tireless passion and to always see the good in a person and to motivate one from there to achieve beyond what they see themselves at that point in time. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the start in life.
Dr Sia is zestful and passionate !! Her energy introduces her before she even speaks! A giver of good vibes.
I was on a miserable path when i met Dr. Sia, where i am afraid of what coming ahead when i graduated. She taught me to be opened for challenges, and do what is righteous for you. And as a role model, she also taught me: Never say you are too old for something new, let’s do this!
“Let’s do badminton!” “I got a job offer for you” — some of the words I can never forget coming from Dr. Sia; a person that I have learnt much from as a friend, a leader, a team player, a life problem-solver.
Dr. Sia is very energetic, positive, sporty and ever ready with helping hands beside you to pull you up when you are at your lowest.
Who is she? Ask Dr.Sia!!!
In 2005, I arrived in Malaysia to study for a degree in computer science. Little did I know I would also be meeting an amazing listener, and guardian who ended up encouraging me, inspiring me and also others I knew, to be their best. She was Dr. Sia. Many years later, I still maintain our relationship, though in Nigeria now, her impact remains indellible in my life.
I remember when I just finished high school and was feeling so so eager to get out there and do new and different things.
But guess what? I missed the scholarship deadline!
But I tried submitting my profile anyways and Dr. Sia gave me a call. It was sort of like a telephone interview?
And she offered me a scholarship anyways despite me being late (yikes).
And from there, I was given so many opportunities to challenge myself in many different fields.
She was always there to drop a few words of encouragement or even open doors of opportunities for me.
I am very thankful for that one faithful phone call and what she saw in me. If not for that phone call, I might have turned out as a way different person.
